Timmy Hernandez is the son of Julio and Karen Hernandez and a senior at Mountain Pointe High School, who has a 4.5 GPA. He is ranked 20th in his class of 605 senior students. Timmy is a member of the Tempe All-City Football team for the 2013/14 school year and was a Team Captain, as well as a first team All-State Cornerback, Division I and a Section 4 Defensive Player of the Year selection. He is also a first team, All-Arizona Cornerback and a 2013 first team All-East Valley Tribune Cornerback. Timmy was a two-way starter and was a first team All-Academic wide receiver on Offense. He was selected as a National Hispanic Scholar from over 259,000 students and has received an offer to enter the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Relay for Life, and the National Honor Society are organizations Timothy is involved in. His other activities include Feed My Starving Children, peer tutoring, helping to care for service dogs, volunteering at the Ahwatuke Community Center, and assisting with the Ahwatukee Little League.
